Help near our aggressive guppy...?

in our tank... we've heard that segregate him will help. How long should we do it for?
People seem to overlook the simple certainty that these two fish have TOTALLY different water requirements and are not meant to be together anyways.
male guppies get aggressive unless they are within a 1:4 male:female ratio.

i'm guessing you have adjectives male (bright colored) guppies?
males are aggressive to female i ask my pet store and they say to own double of female than male
keep hold of him in there but dont let him chomp through , that'll put him in his place
Answers:    If he is aggressive, there is obviously any not enough females for his likes, or the tank is too small. Make certain you are giving each guppy an ABSOLUTE MINIMUM of 3 gallons each, as they are fast swimmers, and obligation their space. Also make sure you have three females for every mannish in the tank, because male guppies entail this variety. Also check your water, the nitrates/nitrites could be too high, which is making him stress out, which next makes him aggressive.
