Help! Betta Question?
Its a 5 gallon betta tank with an Aponogeton plant.
Could I add a vision shrimp or two??
The tank is filtered and heated. Would that be too much in within? And will he eat them?
betta's eat adjectives live creatures in their bowl. they're cannibals! CANNIBALS I TELL YOU!
the tank will be fine, but do not put the betta within with shrimp. They are japanese fighter fish and attack just roughly anything-especially each other.

I've had plenty of betta's and they've all last a really long time-the most common illness for them to get is a sickness call ick,where they get patches of white gunk on them. try buying a small bottle of tablets to put into the water and your fish will last a lot longer.
betta's fight beside other fish but still cool itself
go right ahead and buy some. i have 6 ghost shrimp surrounded by my tank with my betta and they all obtain along. he doesn't try to eat them or fight them. i don't even know if he know they are there.

i try putting a phantom shrimp in my betta tank and he kept on picking on it. not sure whether your betta is a male or female, but female normally tends not to pick on the ghost shrimp. i have one contained by my females tank because sometimes she will spit out her food and the ghost shrimp will clean it up. whether you do buy ghost shrimp trying buying a minium of 2 just in baggage the other dies.
that would be fine! no he wont eat them. lol. bettas aren't as aggresive as everyone makes them out to be, they with the sole purpose fight their own kind.
Answers: A few ghost shrimp would work fine, but yes, there's a chance he'd eat--or try to eat--them, so keep hold of that in mind. They're not expensive, though, so feel free to make the addition of a few and see what happens. Some bettas ignore them, some attack them.
