murky! the container had water and fish in when i changed the substrate.
i wash the sand first before i put it inthe tank.
How long will it be murky for?

Thanks in Advance!
OK this happened to me. When i set up my tank i washed my gravel but not apt enough so my water was mixed near pink and blue. I filled up the tank turned my filter on and started taking out 2 gallons then putting one gallon within. This helped me it might helped you. It only took nearly an hour to get my water clear. Hope it helps
It's not good idea that change your substrat totally. It’s better that use 1/4 of behind the times media because of live bacteria with your topical medi . and wash your new media 10 minutes next to cold high pressure water before use. In business of fact good medias have smaller number bad effect like that on your tank. I propose EHEIM productions. At last that cloudy water have no serious impossible effects on your fishes ;)
Answers:    I should clear up surrounded by about a week. I would do a 10% water change that should help out.

Either you didn't rinse the alien sand off well enough, or replacing the substrate cause a bacteria bloom. A bacteria bloom shouldn't last longer than a couple days. If it hasn't cleared up by after, I would do a water change and see if that help.
