HELP! I THINK MY GUPPY HAS ABORTED.?
Well heres the problamo. Me and my friend got our fishes at the same time, and my guppy was visibliy more pregnant than my friends one, and yesterday my friends one give birth. But my one is still heavily, pregnant and its not given birth yet.
Normally she swims with my sword tail fish, but yesterday she was at the bottom of the reservoir hinding and fighting of other fishes. But today she normal. IS SHE GONNA GIVE BIRTH OR HAS SHE ABORTED. Also please can i hold some tips on what to do to fasten the birth of the fry ( if they are still there) e.g should i leave the filter and night light on.
Plese give me as much advice as you can. THANK YOU!! write bck ASAP
It sounds most likely she give birth yesterday and the other fish had a feast. Check the tank in moderation for fry, they could be hiding in the rocks or plants. Another place to look is in the filter, some power filters are really slightly good at sucking up guppy fry. Usually it doesn't hurt them, if you lift the filter elements, they will come right out. You should enjoy a net straining the water when you do so or the other fish will just own another feast.
Guppies can get egg bound and unable to impart birth, but I wouldn't conclude that happened yet. If she get smaller in size she gave birth. Sometimes under stress they make a contribution birth prematurely to eggs instead of the hatched young. Those unhatched eggs die.

Hello!
I hold a humongous aquariam, and I have guppies. Mine has been preggy for a few weeks. If urs have been preggerz for more then 60 days, then she definatly won't own those frys. She may just be carrying heavier or more babies then your freind's. Don't panic all the same though! When the babies are born, you should try to fish them out because all the other fish will kill or eat adjectives of them! My guppy gave birth to 200 about a week ago, and only 3 survived! At 3 weeks they can enjoy normal fish food!
Hope I helped!
Answers: i wouldn't worry to mush roughly it. My momma guppy took 3 months before she gave birth and she is due again any day presently. you can always turn the heat up slightly and see if that help any. or you can separate her until she has the babies. put alot of plants in there so that they can screen. and the fighting off, mine have be doing that for days, on and off. don't worry about it permit nature take it's course. anything else just ask
