Help! My Betta fish have a HUGE stomach?
I just noticed my Betta fish is extremely bloated.. it looks like he swallowed a cheerio. I simply feed my fish once every 2-3 days (he is in a community tank) and he looks extremely happy. His scales are not sticking out similar to a pine cone, he easily swims to the bottom (not swim bladder), and acts normal apart from that his stomach is disturbingly huge. All of my other fish are healthy also, so does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong beside him? And what action i should take?
the unconcealed answer is overfeeding, but the patern doesnt fit. he could be hogging all of the food or something could have dropped in the container, like a cherrio!
crait have no experience. wow.
maybe your fish is hogging all the food. watch subsequent time when you feed the fish. if he hogs all the food, use a network and gently chase him away from the food. that way, he'll gain less food and his stomach will get better eventually.
every time you feed of late give him a mashed up pea, nothing else!
Answers: Wow. Crait, as far as I know, female bettas don't fertilize their own eggs besides.
I'm guessing he's constipated. Just feed him a boiled, mashed up pea, and he'll be fine. You can actually nurture him one every week or two just for good health.
It doesn't necessarily expect you're overfeeding, the betta just got constipated. Just like empire do. Doesn't mean you overate if you got constipated.
