Help on taking guardianship of a betta fish?
i know ur suppose to change water everyweek.
is it ok if i use filter water frm the fridge??
I have a large container for my Betta so I change it a lot less normally. I use regular tap water and add some things to the dampen to help de-chlorinate the water. You can pick up these chemicals at any store that sells betta or fish trimmings.
Don't use distilled water. It have absolutely NOTHING in it (and thats NOT a good point for fish.) Use tap water and get a dechlorinator for it. And modification between 20-100% of the tank water out weekly. (20% if its a significant 2-5 gallon, 50 for a 1 gallon, and 100% for one of those tiny little fad things they sell at the pet store that are something like 1/8th of a gallon because its impossible to adapt less.)
I only change water every 2-3 weeks. I do not deem it is good to change water too habitually.
No you need a special mix to put in the water to maintain it alive but as long as you have have that I thinks it ok for the fridge hose
Answers: Nah, just use tap river. Keep enough to fill about 25-50% of the container in a bucket or cup or something similar. Get some de-chlorinating water conditioner to put in. Let it sit for 5-7 days to consent to it evaporate chlorine. Perform this weekly, or if your keeping it in a small tank resembling most people do, maybe 5 days. Also, don't listen to the myth that bettas live better in smaller tank. They live well, but try for at least 2 gallons with some sort of filter and a boiler if available. Heaters aren't a necessity as long as they are kept a decent temperature (like the tempature contained by a typical room at home), but they tend to be slightly healthier with them.
i dont know.
