HELP! Question just about a Polypterus Senegalus/Dinosaur Eel?
Chop it up into little pieces put it on hooks and use it for bait, to catch something really cool. OLAaaay
Being rude to someone who know the answer to your question and being wrong in the process will not obtain you far
It's common name is a Senegal Bichir because it's a bichir from Senegal that is the cross used in the aquarium trade. Just because the shop you go to wrongly calls it another christen only means that people who don't know its right name and go to the same shop will know what you show.
Now that you know the correct name for it you should be able to find everything from a go through engine
I can't talk to you as you said you NEED TO TALK TO SOMEONE THAT HAS ONE and I have more than one
Answers: Fish don't make lifelong friends, your Bichir (the proper common name for this fish, not eel) will take over 10" long and is an aggressive predator. Once it gets larger smaller fish will be likely to be predated upon.

That's an interesting looking critter! I hold a tiretrack eel that I just love. Check out what it says on thetropicaltank.com and see if that help. Good luck!
edit: I'm not really sure what is wrong with my answer to whoever think it wasn't decent, hopefully not the person who asked the question..you can never completely predict what a fish (or eel- whatever) will do contained by an aquarium. You can just research what is available on the internet and then make your own finding from there. My tiretrack eel doesn't do exactly what it says out in that on the net either. I've had to stir with that info available and make my own decisions. When I own asked questions about him I don't even get answers most of the time. If offering a website to research is a discouraging answer then oh well, you can have your own feelings and I'll have mine! Also, want to give a big thumbs up to Catx and Lain :)
