How do I convert my gravel into sand?
I know 0 about sand. I want to know how to switch and also doesn't the filter make the sand not settle? Please tell me everything!! Thanks 10 points best answer
Answers: Need more details roughly speaking your tank, but basically, you remove the gravel, add the sand by lowering it into the reservoir first, and let your filter clean up the mess. If the filter is too strong, it will mess up the sand a bit, but the sand will still settle. It will be a shock to your cycle, but your tank will reestablish itself.
the filter will produce the sand settle. buy sand from a fish store (not a gardening place). and take everything (fish, plants) out of your tank. get a lattice and scoop the gravel out. then gently pour the sand within.
