How do you share the differance between a mannish & womanly fish?

How do you tell if a fish is a male or a womanly?

It depends on the fish, every type of fish is different and has different ways to sex the fish.

Male's have brighter colours
Male's have longer fin's e.g. Betta's
Some are that the female have bigger Ventral fins.

In most species the males have longer fins, more intense coloration, they are different in size than females etc. In many cases, females tend to hold a rounder stomach and are less intense when it comes to coloration. Yet it really depends on what kind of fish you are talking roughly...
