How swiftly do freshwater angelfish grow?

I have a 10 gallon tank, that I will be turning into a planted tank(should be set up and ready for fish by december, towards the end)
My query is, how fast do angelfish grow? If I was to get a single quarter-sized angel, how long could I go it in there without cause any health issues. I have a 20 long that is holding my pond goldfish, but contained by the spring once the pond is up and running, they will be gone and the tank will be converted to tropical and the tank will be replaced by a 29 gallon(this should be completed by the end of June, at the latest)
Never kept angelfish beforehand, so a single angel should be okay until then, correct?
they don't grow too fast so yes it would be okay until december.
Angel Fish can grow to be 12" tall and probably taller. I have see Angel Fish with bodies 6" in diameter, but it is unusual for them to grow this big. Angel Fish are set to have lived for at least 10 years, and with exceptionally appropriate care they can probably live even longer.
Answers:    Even a 29 gallon tank would be a bit too small for an angelfish. They bring very big, so a 50 gallon aquarium is the smallest I would recommend.
