Answers:    is it an african cichlid or a convict cichlid? Asumming you mean convict (which is a central american cichlid), after the eggs are laid and fertilized it usually take about 2 days for them to hatch, at which point they'll become "wrigglers" meaning they're still attached to the yolk sack and still takes another hours of daylight to become free swimming. If you're talking about a convict Julie, which is an African cichlid, im not too sure but its probably pretty much surrounded by the same time frame
