I'm thinking approximately setting up a Sanctuary within my house for the Beta?
From what I understand, they have the worst of the worst lives in pet stores. I enjoy had tanks in days gone by. Not salt but I have had biddable and aggressive environments. All fresh.
What would I need to know? About the water, etc.?
Answers: Here are all the tips you requirement to know.
Tap water with dechlorinated water, 68-82 degree.
Feed 1-2 pellets a day, or a pinch of flakes.
Weekends feed it brine shrip or bloodworms.
Need atleast 2.5 Gallons of hose.
Cannot live with other fishies.
Need a heater in the winter!
Live up to 2-8 years even whether you take very good comfort of it.
If its like a tank with a filter, verbs it 20%-30% weekly.
Change the filter pads every 2 weeks.
Have a hood but you can't have the whole cistern covered since bettas have to have air to breathe correctly!
Add a live silk plant, whether it has to be fake, I preffer silk.
USE TAP WATER WITH DECHLORINATER!
:)
sorry if I give you to much info lol.!
a sanctuary?
like an animal shelter for bettas?
you'd need alot of small tanks or a few all right filtered divided tanks..
it's not an easy undertaking.. you could plumb a bunch of 2.5-5 gallon tank into one main sump.. like a display rack at the store..
unless im totally not understanding the interview...
