I'm thinking something like going to walmart and good a beta, what will i obligation?

I went to walmart to get food for my oscars and i noticed adjectives these beta in these little cups and 2 of them were dead. i be thinking about saving a couple to put in my room, what adjectives will i need for it and what maintenance will i need? appreciation ^-^
Betta's requirement 5 gallons per fish. The males can't be kept together, and the males and females can't be kept together unless they're breeding. Some females can be kept together if you have a big enough reservoir. They need heaters, and low current filters. The heater should be set at 77 °F.

The more fish you buy from here the more they're going to bring in, everyone just needs to stop buying fish from them and perhaps they'll realize that they aren't making any profit and they'll close the whole operation... I hope they do.
Buy a couple of tanks larger than 2.5 gallons. You can usually find small ones near built in filters, that are large plenty to house a betta. Also buy some small heaters, and set the temp to 78 degrees. You can use whatever substrate you want, and any decor you want. But these are about adjectives you will need. You won't need an airstone if you own a filter, since the filter will provide enough surface agitation to oxygenate the water. And betta food, and floating tropical pellets or flakes will do.

Also for cleaning the container you can either get a small gravel vac, or buy a turkey baster. I used to use a turkey baster to suck some of the debris out when I have my betta in a 3.5 gallon tank.

Good luck with them, it is incredibly kind for you to want to rescue them from bad conditions and want to know the proper care for them :)
as long as you enjoy a tank, plants and a filter, the betta will LOVE IT!
I don't understand why the stores display bettas in little tank with no filtration or plants, no wonder they are always dead.
wow they put greek letters in cups very soon

beta is a greek letter
betta is a fish

i would not do it
people buy fish that are kept badly out of sorrow so the petshops preserve stocking them because they keep selling.

if you are still gonna get them they will call for
a tank each atleast 2.5 gallons each
slow current filter
heaters
and food

plus basic conditioners gravel and decorations

you dont need an air stone because they breath nouns from the surface using a labyrinth organ and the current causes them unnesasery stress
Answers:    I have saved a few bettas from walmart.

You could just save them in any 1.5 gal container and change the water every week and manufacture sure you keep them in a room where on earth the temp never goes below 72 F.

OR you could get them a sweet set up. a good 2.5 Gal or 5 gal container the little colourful ones they sell at walmart that come with a whisper filter are great. That's what I hold my 2 males in (separate tanks). Pick up a small heater and you are good to turn. Add decorations and fish.

They need food and water conditioner that's about it.

They are great little fish I own been keeping bettas for over 10 years. My oldest was my first he was 5 years infirm. He lived in a 1.5 Gal unheated unfiltered tank and still lived 5 years I took good carefulness of him. But getting a filter and heater makes it way easier on you.

Here is my delta tail Mr sexys sweet wad.

Edit: Bettas are part of the Labyrinth or Anabantids family. These fish can get oxygen from the heavens we breath. This way they can survive drought and live in very shallow muddy pools and rice paddies contained by there native home of Malay Peninsula and surrounding areas.

PS. I am not aphorism they have to be in 1 gal tanks. My fish presently are both in 2.5 and one in a 5 gal. But I have kept them within 1 gal tanks before with nouns. Breeder keep them in small tanks. When I be young and did not have money my fish lived in 1 gal tank. They will live long healthy lives if cared for properly. Problem is lots people do not care for them properly when they keep them surrounded by 1 gal tanks. Grrrr
you need a 2.5 gallon cistern PER FISH! betta fish CANNOT live togehter under any circumstances.
if you want 2 betta buy a 10 gallon tank and a divider! short a divider they will kill eachother!

minibow 2.5's and 5's are PERFECT betta tanks and include everything you need.
You would need at tiniest a 2.5 gallon tank. You would need a filter and a heater for that cistern also. A lid would be nice, bettas sometimes bail. One or two small decorations... Betta food. Thats about all I can think of...

But, whether you plan on getting more than one, you would need a separate tank for each betta. Male bettas cant live next to any other betta. Ever. Dont try to put a female in there beside him, one will end up dead within a daytime. If you wanted to add something to "give him company" you could put in a ghost shrimp or a small snail. But thats about it.
Wal-Mart is the worst store to be housing any type of animals. I can't believe that.

Anyways, here is a betta concern sheet:

Is this right channel to verbs a betta cistern?   How would I cycle a 10 gallon container?   How soon should I move my clown loaches?   My goldfish is pretty still and isn't feed?
