Is my fish going to die?
My fish likes to jump out of the water and swim crazily around the reservoir. It also tends to slam itself against the tank. He's still alive but i'm worried. What should I do?
some fish are crazy head..get some other fish that would be compatable for it maybe it wants to play
What compassionate of fish? You need to check the ammonia levels in the cistern. Get an API master water test kit and audition your water. High ammonia levels can cause the dampen to burn your fish. Your fish may be trying to get some relief from that. What is the temperature of your cistern? if it is too hot or too cold, it could also affect your fish's behavior. Also, some fish just like to swim closely. Do a google search on the type of fish you have and read what the water wishes, aquarium need, feeding needs, etc of your fish are and see whether that is what you are doing or if there is something that your fish desires that you are not giving it right now.
Answers: Make sure you hold a lid on it, if you don't either get one or generate a cover out of saran wrap and poke holes in it. You can put plants on sides of the tank to stop it from smashing into the glass. Depending on what type of fish it is, win another one of its kind or a few if you have the space. If it is getting stressed you could give a little bit of salt to it if the genus of fish you have likes it. is it doing that when you put a light on or when it feel vibration? Maybe cutting down on movement in front of it may do the trick too. if the other things people have recommended don't work.
Hope that helps, Good Luck!
sounds close to your ammonia or nitrite levels are way too high-do a 50% percent water modification and read up on cycling your tank. he may die as ammonia burns the gills so they can't get enough oxygen
There could be an ammonia spike going on in your tank. Remove some sea and replace the freshly treated water with aquarium dechlorinator mix in a bit of StressZyme
You should try to win some type of water medicine. He should be fine.
