Koi, pregnant, or sick?

I have a three year old Koi who lives with 6 others contained by a pristine condition water pond. I noticed her tommy is getting bigger and bigger since three weeks ago. Is she pregnant or can it be something else? If she is pregnant, what do I do? I am not trying to have any more of them...does she necessitate any special care?
3 years antiquated is old enough to get full of eggs. If in attendance are males in the pond, they'll spawn, lay eggs, and milt, and if they don't eat them adjectives, some may hatch. Do you see the males chasing her around?

If you're not trying to save the eggs, and babies, there is not much to do, the koi will eat most of the eggs and fry besides. If any do survive you might be able to sell them to your local pet store if your sea and fish are pristine.
Definitely not pregnant - koi are egglayers!!

But if you're surrounded by the Southern hemisphere or somewhere that the temperature is still warm, she may be developing eggs. Koi and goldfish will usually spawn surrounded by the spring, but if the weather is warm year-round, it can sometimes happen within the fall. This would be more likely to happen whether the weather had been cold for a while, then warm up again, making it seem like spring.

If this is a case of a womanly koi developing eggs, she'll take care of most matter herself. Males may start to follow her around and nudge her to get her to release the eggs, which they'll fertilize. If you want any of the fry to survive, add some pond plants close to parrots feather or elodea, it gives the fish a place to lay their eggs and give the fry a hiding place for when they hatch. But the adults, and possibly other aquatic animals might eat the fry. If you considered necessary to have the best survival rate, collect any plants after the eggs have been laid, and put them contained by a tank with water from the pond, and hatch them indoors.

You didn't mention whether you noticed any scales sticking out, this would be a sign of dropsy. You an look that up on the internet, if you think that's a opportunity. She may also be beating the others to the food and eating more than her share if she's larger than the others.
Answers:    check the scales if its not sticking out if not its body could be full of eggs you necessitate a male for it or manually release the eggs. When it comes out you will not have a problem they will eat it adjectives.
