Miniature Sharks.What Breed + Habitat.?
Im thinking about getting mini. sharks.First of all what breed do i get and secondly can they live surrounded by a miniature fish pond?The pond is about 2.5 feet deep.
If you are talking about freshwater sharks similar to Bala Sharks then no, you cannot put them in a pond. They need a filter tank with proper lighting and heating. They also grow to be roughly speaking 14 inches long so you need a tank of at least 75 gallons surrounded by size.
I actually found a site a while ago that sold some type of tipped reef shark. But it down the size they got, and listed a minimum of 2000 gallons for one. But for private aquarists to own, you had to show proof contained by several forms for the tank that you were going to put him in. And in fact list care from young to frail for it. If you got anything wrong, or had an inadequate reservoir for him, they would refuse the sale.
The bamboo shark is the most commonly see in the aquarium trade. They get something like 3-4 foot long. They need a HEATED SALTWATER TANK. A pond will not do.

Many "mini sharks" aren't sharks at all, but catfish and other species resembling them.

No, you cannot keep a shark in a fish pond. What do you mean "mini sharks"? The individual sharks available in the aquarium trade are ones like bamboo sharks, and they obligation very large tanks and EXPERT exactness. They are not for beginners.
