My axolotyls container warmth is too low?
the thermometer says that the temperature of the water is 2 degree celsius. I personally, don't think that's right but my dad says it works fine. when I put my foot in the water, it feels enormously cold. i was wondering if anyone knew how to return with the temperature up?? please!!
try a different thermometer
axolotls need temps of about 15c-20c
whether the other thermometer is the same get an aquatic heating system
At 2c there would be ice starting to form and your axolotl would probably be already late. Unless you are floating ice cubes in the tank I cant see how it is that low. Average room warmth is around 20c are you sure you are reading the thermometer correctly?
2c is 35f
20c is 68f
Answers: where is the tank situated?? whether it is indoors it is highly unlikely to be 2 degrees. Optimum temp for axolotls is between 18 and 20 degrees which tend to be room temp this time of year (unless you are in a very cold place! I am in UK) progress to www.axolotl.org as this site offers a wealth of info from axie experts and also I highly reccomend you register on their forum and they can give support to you with any help you need to attention for your axolotl. For an accurate temp reading, get a digital thermometer, very cheap on ebay!!
Pls make certain u are looking after your axi as they r very fussy and get ill intensely easily!
