My brand strange goldfish backing and suggestion please?
First i would like any ideas for a name (boy & girl ones) i would approaching an unusual one.
in the past i hold had:
Splash & Splosh - goldfish
Woody & Nigwell - London Shubunkins
Nemo - Bristol Shubunkin
Comet - Black moor
I have just brought a babe-in-arms gold fish as i didn't have to much luck with the other ones. The reservoir is for cold water fish
I have a 18 liter plastic tank
Air Pump
Filter
Fake plants
Gravel
Ornaments
tube lighting
hood
And i use fresh dampen from the water butt i let the water acclimatise to room temp. I consequently brought a baby fish, floated the bag in the hose for 15 Min's added some water left the bag for a further 15 Min's after added the fish. I left the tank and room lights off adjectives yesterday (when i got him)
I added cycle and stress coat and fed him 3 pellets.
Is it ok to enjoy added the chemicals (the man in the shop told me to but i want a second opinion.)
How plentiful times a day should i be feeding him and how much of the stuff?
At the mo i have brought flake, pellet and live food. (this is for a adjectives diet.)
Any other tips would be grate thank - you! x
First of all you need to ditch the 18 litre, that's too small for a goldfish, they need more resembling 50 litres barest minimum.

It also sounds like you didn't cycle that filter, which is pretty pointless anyway as it will be overwhelmed in hours by the especially messy goldfish (and the mess grows as the fish grows). I expect the tank will have an ammonia spike within 12 hours, you don't mention have a liquid test kit, you call for one.
Feed once every other day until you get a bigger tank, to eat up the toxicity of the water. As well as performing partial water change every other day with dechlorinated water.
Goldfish should live over 15 years, by the sounds of it you've have lots that haven't even reached a fraction of that.
The tank is too small. Fancy goldfish need 20 gallons per fish. Common, comet, and shubunkin goldfish obligation 75 gallons per fish.
Answers: From the movie Rocky he had these names for his turtles
Cuff and Link.
I own a 20 gallon tank with tropical fresh water fish they call for a heater for warm water.
I hold a 7 gallon fresh water with just one mannish betta and a 10 gallon fresh water with just one masculine betta there tanks are not heated.
Have you ever had a betta. Males are the prettiest, but that's adjectives you can have in the tank, they don't achieve along with other betta's, not even the females, they will kill each other. But near easy fish and much cleaner fish then gold fish. I have gold fish a long time ago.
On all my tanks I enjoy outside hanging filters and I use the filter objects and carbon (charcoal) because it helps with the amonia.
You are suppose to do a partial water money and if you have gold fish you'll probably own to do this every week. Changing about a quarter of the water. You also have to vacume the gravel for any uneaten food that you filter doesn't capture. They have these at the pet store, if you only enjoy a 5 1/2 gallon tank get the littlest tube for vacumming. This sucks up the particales along with the hose. I use something by API that I put in the water 3 drops for every 2 gallons to dechlorinate the water. That's adjectives I do, for all the tanks, I have a thermometer for respectively of the tanks. When I add new sea I make it the same temp. as the water that's be in the tank. I don't let the marine sit like you do.
I've only ever fed flake food to the tropical and betta pellet to the betta's. I feed all of them once a day.
Also when I vacume the tank and change the water I also rinse the filter material out and verbs the inside glass.
My first plastic tank I used something that said it was apposite for using on plastic tanks for cleaning the sides.DON'T use anything that just looks like its going to be scratchy even whether it says its ok, because over time you will dull the plastic. Use some kind of sponge but produce sure there isn't any chemicals of any kind within it before you put it into your fish tank. Once in awhile I'll verbs out the rocks and plants and rinse them off too.
You can go on yahoo and google and type in benevolent for goldfish or something like that and I'm sure they'll give you lots of sites to pick from. Hope I be some help.
1. limit the amount of plastic type and marine ornaments, effect they are based on the calcium which is poisoning the water.
2. before you put the wet into the aquarium, let it for 24-32 hours.
3. don't use chemicals ever!
4. feed them with finger small amounts, and when they will put away willing, put more, but remember to feed them every 8 hours; don't overdosew ith the fish food
5. fresh live food is good, when the fishes are bored next to your ordinary food; give it to them 3 times a week
6. put 2 bristlenose's to clean the container of algas
7. don't stress your fishes with:
- loud music,
- intensive lightning or filter.
And the most important, read more about fish diseases, rationale their can occur and you need to recognize them all right before the "dead symptom".
I know, cause I wasn't certain and I unintentionally killed one gourami fish.
