My gold ingots fish and my spanking new sea snail are not getting along help out?
i just got a new dampen snail and i put it in the tank with my gold ingots fish and my goldfish was freaking out it was going crazy so i took the snail out and it calmed down is this a normal criticism ?should i put the snail back in? or should i get rid of the snail
GOLDFISH EAT SNAILS, along with loaches. Please don't put the poor snail back surrounded by the tank! Research would've helped. The snail will not harm your goldie contained by anyway shape or form but the goldie will eventually eat the snail. Please take the snail put a bet on or put it in another tank. Best of luck Angel
edit: Georges not ALL snails guzzle plants, there is a chance this snail is one of them. They are quite commonly sold within pet shops and wont eat plants unless there is literally nothing else and they are extraordinarily hungry. Just thought id add that in =)
Goldfish do in good health with more snails, it is interesting that yours aren't getting along. Maybe just put the snail in the corner, or pop it contained by when your Goldfish isn't looking. Most likely, your fish will just either not perceive it, or get used to it in the meantime. Don't just "seize rid" of the snail. You should be keeping it in another tank, with your other fish, whether you want to keep it. If not, you should return it.
I have never hear of that kind of reaction from goldfish because of snail.
What size is your tank? The merely thing that I can think of is that the tank or bowl is too small for goldfish and snail and that is to say why he is acting strange.
nought a little bit of relationship counselling wont fix.also,i would recommend anger management for ur goldfish.i feel he's living contained by a tense environment at the moment.perhaps u should sit down and explain that its bcuz u love him that u bought the snail
Answers: i would propose you get rid of the snail if it is acting crazily like that.
You should defiantly get rid of the snail. Goldfish like to put away and peck at snails. Also is you have any aquarium plants they are in danger of the snail! Your goldfish saw the snail as food.
