My star fish spiny legs are breaking rotten. My reservoir is 2 mo. aged Help?

Help! My fish are dying?
Answers:    did you bye this star fish or did it come from some live rock that you bought do you have any fish in the tank that perchance biting at it if it is a brittle star they have a natural security pretty much the same as a drop tail lizard they lose their parts

What type of star fish? I once saw this happen in a brittle marine star. once this happened to him there was no abiding him. If your tank is still so new, it probably has something to do next to the tank not being cycled properly. Salt water tank usually take a little longer than fresh wet to cycle. so I wouldn't doubt in my mind that you are getting new reservoir syndrome, it will affect different fish in different ways.
