Need give support to next to heat my cistern?
i need to get a heater for my 2 and a partially gallon tank for winter. the water is always below 64 and i inevitability a heater that can get the temp up to 78 degrees...any sugestion on how several watts the heater should have and some sites to buy these heaters will be helpful...
remember it must be capable of get water from below 64 degrees up to 75 or more degree
the great thing almost heaters is that they sense the temp and turn off when needed, so over heating in your little reservoir shouldnt be a problem. just get the smaller heater available at your LFS.
Go to a pet store, and buy a heater that says on the box, "For tanks up to 5 gallons." It will heat it for the winter. Good luck!
Answers: In the UK you won't get anything smaller than 50 Watt, which for 2.5 UK gallon is fine.
US gallons and this little 25 watt is what you are after http://www.freshmarine.com/hg-elite-sub-...
If you move about to a pet store and are unsure which one you need ask the staff if they know what they are doing they should steer you in the right direction
