Need to know more going on for Fantail goldfish. ?
Just the normal (size, diet, ideal plants, ideal decorations)
Would it be okay surrounded by a 1.5 gallon tank or would that stunt it's growth?
Answers: Adult size 7", ideal diet, high proteins and fibers low fat and fillers. Adding green veggies is a great treat and will keep them healthy. Baby tears, water cress, duck weed adjectives good plants to add
Decorations, none needed nor required do as you like.
1.5 isn't full-size enough long term for the fish. 5 gallon minimum for a fancy goldfish at full growth.
Keeping the fish in a small container won't stunt his growth, what it does is triggers a chemical criticism in the brain to slow the growth down. Even after a few years, if you place your fish into a larger container he will start to grow again. Stunted fish will not.
Fantails need 20 gallons for 1 fish and 10 more gallons for respectively additional fish. They grow to be 8 or more inches and putting them in a 1.5 gallon would stunt their growth. They need goldfish food (either flakes or pellets) and it is best to furnish them a variety of foods. You can give them brine shrimp (live, frozen, or freeze dried found at any pet store), fresh lettuce, spinach, or peas 2 or 3 times a week. Feed them once a day, the amount they can get through in 2 minutes. Remove any leftover food. Any live aquatic or replicated plant will work for them. They like to have places to hide and be paid sure that you have excellent filtration (one rated for a cistern larger than what they are in) because goldfish produce a lot of waste. You also want to be sure that the decorations you do achieve don't have sharp edges that could tear the fish's tail.
