String poo is transparent in colour. Is this normal or should it be black?

I think it means it has an infection. Read this http://www.kokosgoldfish.com/GoldfishPoo...
The color of the "poo" depends on what you are feed the fish. You do not say what size tank they are in or what type of goldfish you enjoy. A basic rule of thumb with goldfish is: 20-30 gallons for the first goldfish and 10 gallons for each extra goldfish. The tank should have excellent filtration but no heater is needed. Pellets that any float or sink slowly are better than flakes as they hold their shape longer and do not pollute the water as much. Goldfish are naturally more quiet when the dampen cools down at night and in the winter. This is normal. Goldfish also similar to peas - get the frozen peas and cook them then peel the skin bad. You may need to cut the peas in half or contained by quarters depending on the size of your goldfish. One pea every other day will help to prevent constipation within your goldfish.
Answers:    Usually if your fish's poo is clear, this means first stale SHE was with eggs. Do you know how old she is? Clear resources she has reabsorbed eggs, more than likely due to no male contained by the tank. It could also be due to the fact she was to childish to actually drop eggs.

Normally goldfish poo is dark in color but this too depends on what you nurture. Goldfish have no stomachs there fore very little of what they put away is absorbed and the rest passed quickly thru their systems. this is why people speak they are pigs and poo machines. they have to be.

give your fish a few days. Reabsorbing the eggs in an emergent female takes a tole. She should be fine (as long as she is not egg bound) in a few days.

Test your hose as well just to be sure it isn't an added burden to her.
