New frontosa cichlids?? ?

today i purchased 2 frontosa cichlids they are like 1 inch long..i was wondering whether i put them in my 10 gal tank will they grow? or should i put them in my 29 gal reservoir? becuhz i heard that fish only get as big as as the container is. and yea i heard it was bad for frontosas to get through worms..is ther anything else i can feed them except flakes?
Put them in 29 gallon. U will have to get a bigger container cos they grow up to 40cm(15inch). Did you know they only grow about 1 or 2 inch per year? i have my (9inchs) Frontosa and he lone grow few inch per year

put them in the 29 for now but they can grow 7-9'' and when it does it'll be best to be surrounded by a bigger tank, 2 in a 29 is really pushing it. "a fish can only grow as big as the tank" is somewhat true but completely stupid, what it means is if the fish is in a reservoir to small for its size it'll be stunted, its body wont continue to grow but its internal organs will, killing it. Frontosas are mainly carnivorous, worms are immaculately fine, you can also feed them (live, freeze dried or frozen) stuff like brine shrimp, blood worms, krill; or you can feed them cichlid pellet; or if you wanted you could breed guppies in the 10gal and nurture them that
Answers:    the how big your fish get is a myth and put them contained by the 10 gallon because you dont want your tank to be too big or too small.
