Nitrogen cycle fishless?
I started my fishless nitrogen cycle a few days ago. I have been adding fish flakes every 12 hours. Can i also make the addition of betta pellets to help increase ammonia? I just added 10 betta pellet to my tank. So is this okay?
My other question:
I will be adding zebra danios to the container in about a week or two. Is it safe to attach 4 zebra danios at once? Because the pet store that im going to buy them has tiny zebra danios. They are really small (about .5 inches i think).
i'd put three since you've already started putting fish food in.

Type of fish food doesn't really matter. Measure how much ammonia you have made and give more, or syphon some out. You want the ammonia level around 5ppm to start with.
DONT add fish partway through a fishless cycle. Untill the cycling process is finished the sea will be very toxic and the fish will die. Once your ammonia and nitrite drop to zero then it's sheltered to add a sensible number of fish.

Answers: adding food to the tank is not the best process to get a cycle going. Using Pure ammonia you can find in the cleaning section at the grocery store is the best route.
Here this site helped me when I was starting out.

IF you add fish surrounded by a week you will not be doing a fishless cycle you will be cycling with fish. It can be done I did it. You need to check your water everyday twice a morning and do water changes everyday sometimes twice a day to preserve the levels safe. It's a lot of work to cycle a cistern with fish.
