necessitate terrarium setup serve?

I am planning on putting a fire bellied newt in a half filled 13 gallon aquarium and would resembling to know what are some easy to care for and easy to find house plants i could put surrounded by that would be semi aquatic. I also would like to know what type of substrate would best work for my situation. Please help

Answers:    on the parkland, spider plants or dracaena are both hard species, english ivy can also be used, substate coco humus (aka eco earth, bed a beast)

in hose i would leave the bottom bare or have greatly large pebbles smooth (not gravel) java ferns and java moss are good choices.

sand and gravel are both really bad choices.
Would white underwater rocks/stones look right surrounded...
