Residue stuck on crown tail beta's tail?
A few days ago I fed peas to my crowntail beta because he was constipated. I scooped out the pea residue as fast as I could but some of it get stuck to his tail. It's been 3 days and it's still there. It looks like dust particle stuck to strands of his lower tails. What can I do to get it off up to that time it turns into bacteria and starts to eat away at his tail?
Thanks!
Answers: conceivably fin rot
Bulb syringe or turkey baster, try to suck it off there.
Go easy tho, their tail are fragile.
Barring that, just keep the water as pristine as possible. It will rot rotten eventually. If the water's clean and he is healthy, his immune system will be able to touch whatever any bacteria might do.
Melafix is good for tail rot, whether it gets that far.
