Sword plant is making purple leaves?
Ok so I bought a sword plant from Petsmart and I put it in a 5 gallon tank. I gave it approach too much light and the leaves turned all transparent and brown spotted and stuff. I after moved it to a 20 gallon tank with less muted. The leaves stopped getting brown spots and stuff. However, now the plant is only producing transleucent purple leaves that stay small and then leak off. what do i doooo
Answers: Sword plants LOVE Fertilizer tabs, Buy one, and put one beside it's roots, it'll really appresciate it, ALSO, leaves start turning transparent whether they aren't getting enough light. Try this website http://www.tropica.com
you probably have amazon swords. purple leaves are probably a sign of late leaves or dying leaves. since you kept chaning tis environment, it probably ddint have time to adjust. take out all the motionless leaves all the putple leaves. its ok if your left next to very little leaves, as long as its green and healthy looking. dont thrown out the stem though, its probably still alive. jsut keep it at hand and in time im sure you'll have a healthly amazon sword soon
