a stand
a heater
some light (regular florescent for just fish)
and a hydrometer

raidersguy...
enjoy you ever kept a saltwater tank before?
your answer is riddled with lies, incoherancy and misinformation
The best way(s) to get a salt-water fish container going is by having these features,
1.) Heater- for keeping the temping at a consistant temp throughout the tank
2.) Coral/Reefs-These will be benefial for the fish and keeping out unwholesome bacteria's and keeping the good one's in the tank
3.) Coral/Reef cleaners-These small fish, invertabrates will back out the corals/reefs be keeping them clean and looking good
4.) Tank-Depending on how big your tank is it is incredibly very important to have the right size of corals and the reef set-up correctly.

By have those and then doing and adding salt mix contained by the water when you are filling the tank.Buy Instant Ocean that saline mix is all you need for a salt-water tank and will relief you out very tremendously by solving what else you need to add contained by the tank. That salt-mix,Instant Ocean will help you and keep the fish at common without any problems and when you add the fish always other keep the fish in the bag first and surrounded by the tank water for about 15mintues-20mintues for the sea in the bag to get the temp from the cistern and when released from the bag into the tank it won't go so shy and not move.

Plus for the filter capture the Marine-Land Bio Filter by Penguin that will give you bio-filtration and clear healthy water short adding any other chemicals unless you need to that is.When you buy the filter other buy the bigger filter for a bigger tank like a 20gallon tank find the filter for 40-60gallons or something in that area and so you won't have to verbs the water and changes very much to where on earth it can go to being about every month hose changes.

If you go by those you should be in apt shape and your fish will do fine.My 150gallon Salt-water tank is done by that and nothing has be a problem. With a few yellow tangs,a moray eel,a few fire gobies and some reef cleaner shrimp my tank is effortlessly kept up and no water changes til every month unless some unhealthy problems arise which for me is rare.Good luck!
