What is the best course to introduce a alien fish into the cistern?
I have 3 goldfish (2 large 1 small) that I rescued in a 10 gallon container. Although I spot clean it regularly and have completely cleaned it once since I've had it, it have a lot of algae in the past few weeks. I would resembling to introduce a new algae eater type fish into the tank. What is the best type for cold water? What type will co-exist ably with goldfish? How do I introduce the new fish (the largest goldfish was aggressive when we introduced the smaller goldfish)? Also whether I shouldn't get one, what are ways to clean and reduce the amount of contemporary algae growth?
Answers: A pleco is a good choice here. They are cold water fish as well and generally the goldfish ignore them. The best way to introduce the new fish is to keep hold of the tank lights off. If you have decorations try moving them for a few hours of daylight to trick your other fish into thinking they are somewhere else.
The best way to inhibit algae growth is watch the hours of lighting the amount of extra foods contained by the tank and direct sunlight. Algae growth is a sign of a healthy tank. Your pleco will be jovial here.
