When will my 2.5 gallon fry container be done cycling?
Hi. My 2.5 gallon tank has been cycling for more than two weeks in a minute, and the ammonia's and nitrites are still high. (nitrates are low)
I put a couple baby guppies in in attendance for "sacrifice", but couldn't bear watching them suffer, so I put them back. The nitrites and ammonia's seemed to find worse, even though the tank IS cycling.
Shouldn't the nitrites and ammonia's be going down now? When will they start going down? How can I get them down faster? Should I verbs the tank?
This tank is to raise my fry surrounded by, and I want it to work out!
Please help me!
I will choose best answer and any other answers will be appreciated.
Thanks!
its purely in your water,
i dont think you can metamorphose it
start over i waited for three months they didnt turn down so i started over and there you go set up cycled in a week:P
you might own made a tin simple mistake which means nothing happens so start over
Answers: are you adding ammonia and doing a fishless cycle? or are there certainly fin in there besides the fry that you removed?
and if you hold an established tank, just take the filter videotape and swish it around in the 2.5gallon tank for a bit. this should pretty much cycle the 2.5 gallon.
