Why are adjectives my fish gasping for nouns?

We have a 22gallon tank with 1 filter 1 pump 1 kiln we have 3 new plants and also have 3 ornaments.we own a chinese algae eater, silver shark, 3 platys, 3 tiger bards, 1 neon tetra, 1 neon rainbow fish and 2 angel fish our fish have started to gasp for air at the top of the cistern what should we do?
Check the water quality first, if it's right, try lowering the water level a little so the hose coming back into the tank splashes a bit. this will provide more oxygen in the river. also, if the water is too warm it will own less oxygen in it than cooler water.
Because theres way too many fish within the tank, CAEs are agressive, bala sharks get huge and need to be within groups, 3 tiger barbs is too few, they NEED to be in groups of at least 5 or 6 and even after having them with 2 angelfish is asking for trouble, tetras and rainbow fish both need to be contained by a school and angelfish are too big for a 22gal and should be kept alone. Could be something with the water parameter, have you tested it? Has it completely cycled before you added the fish? Platies and tiger barbs are mostly hardy fish strong enough to survive the cycle but the rest arent. That many fish is going to create a great deal of ammonia, and quick in a 22gal
The river could be toxic most likely you didn't put in enough chlorine/chloramine remover freshly mix some in a cup of aquarium water and pour it into the tank.

Also how new/old is your cistern?
How long has the tank been set up?

If it's foreign then you will have an ammonia buildup due to the bio-logical filtering not self established. Best emergency treatment is a large partial water change (at tiniest 50%).

Have a read of the page below, it explains how the nitrogen cycle works to remove ammonia from the tank. You will need to do extra river changes for the next few weeks to keep your fish alive while the reservoir cycles.

I'm behind jbird. What you should do is research your fish. 2 angels alone just fit in that tank, bala sharks need to be within groups and at least a 125 gallon tank when full grown. Tiger barbs and tetras call for to be kept in groups of at least 6. You're way overstocked. You involve more aeration, and you need to get rid of a lot of fish. They're probably out of oxygen, or dieing from ammonia/nitrites. The behavior indicates any of those problems.
Possible reason:
- Temperature too cold
- Temperature too hot
- Low oxygen in water
- They are hungry
- They don't like the plants
- The plants might be giving rotten some chemical in the water and harming your fish.

Answers:    maybe there is not enought air surrounded by the water try getting an air pump with an nouns stone for more air
whats the temp of the tank. the warmer the tank, the smaller quantity oxygen can dissolve into the water.
How do i stop my external pump for my fish cistern from leak i own tried everything ugh ?   Is this ok food for fish?   How to coppers the marine within my reservoir ?   Blood Parrot Cichlids and Angelfish?
