Will filter resonance affect goldfish?
its mainly the water splashing its not a very immense splash what i do is turn the filter so it hits the wall of the fish tank above the water surface then falls into the cistern so its not as much of a... thud
the fish don't seem to be acting much differently only not hanging around the top of the cistern as much which is what raising the filter is meant to do, to add more oxygen. i sit going on for a meter and a half away from the filter it doesn't bother me... i mean i can other hear it just i never really hear it when im not trying to. just i was curious going on for the fish.
It won't bother them. In fact, they may like the additional current, and besides, your making your water cleaner. That in itself will make them positive.
No. None of the noise your filter make will disturb the fish. Unless the water is really rocking them all over the place (doesn't have anything to do beside noise, but the currents) so that they hid in one spot, you enjoy nothing to worry about.
_____
Them playing contained by the current by the filter is fine :) And good for them! Exercise!
Answers: Water falls don't bother fish, nor the noise. Current doesn't affect the fish either.
