Will worms, mosquitoe larva and other bugs hurt my fish?
i got 3 glowlight tetra 2 convicts and 2 kissing gouramis...i got flakes and stuff but wen i put worms and mositoe larva they go crazy and love it.. will it hurt them?..i tight-fisted its natural isnt it?
a mosquito larva? your fish will win dengue, lol, just kidding
i'm sure it will not hurt your fish, contained by fact those creatures will serve as food for them
No, it wont hurt them, those are common foods and good for fish. Whats going to hurt them is if the convicts are a two of a kind and breed, or even if they arent a pair, be very mean with them. The kissing gouramis are territorial and agressive, they also get really big and I wouldnt expect your tetras to be around for long. If your kissing gouramis start to, well kiss, you're gonna inevitability to seperate them, this is a sign of agression and one is trying to gain dominance over the other in the tank, dont mistake this for being "cute" and a sign that "they're surrounded by love"
Those are all great treats, but you have need of to buy them from trusted brands (Hikari's my favorite). I'm not sure if this is what you meant, but whether you just pick up a bug and drop it in then it could hurt your fish and spread lice and illnesses.
Keeping feeding them flakes too because too much protein can be harmful.
Worms and mosquito larvae are good for your fishes, they are exceedingly good source of nutrition.
>> i mean its natural isnt it?
And yes it is automatic, in nature that is member of their diet together with insects that falls into the water. I usually nurture my fish with mosquito larvae whenever they are available and they love it.
Answers: nop...keep feeding them that...our siamese opponent fish lived for ages on such a diet!
its a good hypothesis to add them, high in protein & will offer them other nutrients
just dont give them anything which can "fight back" is adjectives, you dont want ants or something like than biting them or if your worms are coming from a place which uses pestisides or something like that which i doubt!
Hello robert f,
You're right to say and think that worms and mosquitos larva are natural and wholesome for fish, but it's also unconscious that parasites and bacteria could be infested in these food items that we choose. The safest bet would be to choose something unconscious and safe all in one. I for myself would shift with the frozen food, freeze dried food and that is as natural as I could be in motion, unless I breed guppies or a live-bearing fish of some sort then there is the fry that would be very wholesome for the fish within question.
Good Luck to you and your fishy friend(s) Cheers ;-)
My green spotted puffer fish eats the larvae of the house moth's we termination up catching every once in a while. He loves them and sucks them down in just moment! =)
