WOW, this will blow your intellect?

Alright, ive been successfully keeping goldfish for a few years now. Just recently one have died. When i went to remove it from the tank another goldie, one i got from one and the same tank as the dead one goes up and lays right resting on the dead one. he wouldnt let me touch him witht the net. My interrogate is have any of you other goldfish keepers ever heard of this class of behavior? i find it totally mindboggling.

technically, it is anthropomorphism to associate the human reaction "love" with fish. they don't truly love. some species of fish will remain faithful to only one mate their entire energy, and they can be companions, but fish cannot "love" in the way we think of it. it could be that the fish be companions at one point, and was trying to defend it's dead companion from the lattice, but true "love" is a purely human emotion

Fish feel love. Take out the fish as it is bad for hte other fish to be beside him and get the fish another fish.
