Am i making a doomed to failure choice?

OK I have a 12 year old arab and he only have one eye he cant stand being away from me so i ride him is that a bad entity to do because he also got lyme disease too so he cant go far?
Having one eye is no reason not to ride him. Especially whether you're not doing much. Heck, we have a horse who is blind in one eye doing the 3' Hunters! And there's a horse that follows our local show circuit that is lost an eye and he does the 3'6 Jumpers! I don't really know how lyme disease affects a horse, but as far as the eye goes, don't let it stop you. I'm sure the horse appreciates the attention he get from you and your time together.
My daughter had an old arab who was lost an eye. He did just fine at anything you asked of him. That is not a good reason to retire him.

Does his lymes disease brand name him unsound in any way? My experience with Lymes within equines is that if you catch it in time beside the right treatment they can be "cured" and suffer no long term effects. I see no problem with continuing to ride him as long as he is comfortable.
i say dont ride him just call the vet and amount out a plan with the vet aboutwhat to do
As far as the eye situation goes, he is fine to ride. Just don't push his limits, and if he feel uncomfortable doing something, listen to him.

However, have you had the vet check out his lyme disease? He should be on special antibiotics for it. Once it is treated you can ride him.
Answers:    no, that's great. it takes some relatives years to build that kind of trust with their horse. don't just throw it absent.

Riding a horse next to one eye is fine as long as you stay aware of his special needs.

Lyme disease may prevent you from riding the horse, though. Does your vet say that your horse is sound ample for riding? If so, you are fine. If not, do as the vet directs.
that isn't a worthy thing. you should take him for short walks and groom him profoundly instead. it will stregnthen the relationship and make you both happier. he doesn't have to be in affliction while you ride him and you get to spoil him! (thats always fun!) after he gets over the lyme diesese you can ride him adjectives you want the blind eye won't affect him he will just have to trust you more since he can't see. have fun near him. talk to your vet about treating the lyme disese if you haven't already it hurts him and can usualy be treated by a few shots by your vet
