Are nearby parcels on the quarter column within a dressage arena?
For some reason, I have a recollection that there are junk mail along the quarter line in a [regulation size] dressage arena. Am I just making this up or not? I can't appear to find the information anywhere, but if anyone knows that there are post, can you tell me what and where they are?
Thanks a ton!
The quarter lines run straight down the arena lengthwise, halfway between the rail and the centerline on any side. There are no letters indicating the position of the quarter lines.
Lol you must be imagining something.
No, there are no letters signifying the quarter lines. They are lately acknowledged as halfway between the center line and the long side of the arena.
There are, however, letters mark the center line of a dressage arena, D-X-G. Maybe you were thinking of those letters?
hope this help :)
EDIT: yeah, I'm sorry, D-X-G is for a small arena which is 20m by 40m. D-L-X-I-G is the center line for a standard dressage arena, or 20m by 60m. I've only ridden in the small arena, so I totally forgot near are more letters. ha!
Answers: There are no letters for the quarter lines, however, at hand are actually 5 letters that go down the centerline of a standard arena, not freshly three.
Maybe that is what you were thinking of?
From A to C the letters of the centerline are;
D, L, X, I, G
So the standard arena consists of these parcels
C
H G M
S I R
E X B
V L P
K D F
A
I tried to format that all nice but it didn't work =(
There are no letters that I know of for the quarter lines.
