this is the height after you have qualified from the local shows. so basically to get to this height you have to basically work your way through the local qualify shows, to the next levels, but unfortunalty moving up to the next horizontal means more travel to attend the shows.
to affiliate you would have to register yourself and your hore near the BSJA. there is a fee payable for both of you on a yearly spring and i do believe your horse would need to pass a vetting. affiliated jumoping has much stricter rules an regs than unaffiliated. on respectively outing your horses passport will be checked and vaccinations will need to be upto date. you will earn points depending on where you attain placed. if you find your classes to easy you will be able to move up to subsequent level, or you can wait until you have the required number of points formerly you move up. you cant move down tho. you can visit the bsja website for more info, im not sure on web address so only google it an that will tell you more (im just assuming your inb uk, if not this will be no use to you!) goodluck
Answers:    Anyone can affiliate as you do not want to qualify by winnings, etc. In the UK affiliated showjumping is run by the BSJA - Checkout the BSJA website which is www.bsja.co.uk.

The Association has classes to cater for all levels of fitness whether you simply want to compete occasionally at weekends over a 2'9" course or aim eventually, for top class competitions at the Royal International Horse Show, Horse of the Year Show or Olympia.
You have to pay an annual allowance for both the horse and rider to be registered to compete affiliated however there are some benefits to affiliated classes over local shows. The showgrounds will be of a decent quality including the ground and jump plus there is often prize money. However, make certain you know the rules as they are stricter. Classes start with British Novice with a maximum height of 0.90m. Generally the courses will seem to be easier at this height than a local show due to the expertise of the course builders giving accurate lines if ridden correctly.

You can have a be in motion at an affiliated class without joining by getting a ticket to ride which costs lb6 on top of the course price. That would be worth doing before joining up so you can get a good touch for it. When joining you need to provide an original authorization sketch for you horse or pony which must be completed by a vet or BSJA panel member but there is no vet check requirement.
