Can anyone recommend suitable horse clippers?

I was wondering if anyone could recommend good horse clippers that will check out of at least 1/2" of hair left!!
I approaching the Circle K for full body clips and muzzle and bridlepaths, I've used Oster for 25 yrs and just switched to Wahl Switchblade and couldn't be happier.
The length really depends on what clipper blade you get hold of. Also you can get special comb attatchments made for dog grooming that leave the hair remarkably long.

For clippers get quality Wahl with a cord. It is a hassle, but cordless are even more of a agony when you have to run back to the barn to charge them after 20 minutes.
wahl cordless abd use head atachments] =D my instouter uses it for her evil show horse >.< and he is scread of cords and hoses so yeah its great and leave 1/2 the pelt =]
Wahl Wahl Wahl! as everyone has already said. they work wonderfully. i enjoy cordless & cord(full) haha

i'm not sure about the blade size though. when you go to buy the clippers, whether you go to a tack store, they should be able to tell you what size blade to use :]]
Wahl is the best brand in my evaluation. All of their models are great, and I agree with Stargirl: get ones with a cord. In the long run, corded is better than cordless. And the blade length counts. The shorter the blade is, the shorter the spine will be. So get a #30 or #40.
Oster is also a good brand, but get one of their slightly more expensive models. I close to their model with the little flashlight on the front. very handy when you're clipping inside a barn.
definitely the Osters A5 Goldens.2 speed heavy duty best clippers ive ever used.and can hold up for multiple body clips contained by a day
wahl cordless are good though I have gotten by beside cords before
Heiniger or Oster.
The length of the hair is dependent on the blades you use.
Answers:    If you're going to be doing body clips, after go with a SUNBEAM. My big body clippers are now nearly 30 years feeble and with a little maintaince still work fine. A little oil here, somewhat clipper grease there and they run as well as they did in 1980 when I get them. The amount of coat you leave on depends on the size of clipper blades that are on your clippers.

For bridle pathing, whiskers, ears etc, go with the wahl cordless clippers, they are relatively cheap, comfortable to maintain and you can put them in your back pocket.
Wahl cordless.
