Can domestic mares live together?
Definitely. All though, there can, obviously still be disputes, certain mares that don't procure along. If you are careful about the introduction of each mare to the group, any other problems, the horses will work out themselves. of course..some horses may have bite scars here and here.
As said...yes they definately can! I have two mares and two geldings that i turn out together and they are all great! The mares are the "bosses" however...and my older mare is the "boss" of my younger mare...generally unless there is a stallion involved all horses can co-exist peacefully! There are always exceptions...but as a standard rule mares should be fine together!
yea they can
Definatly, two of my mares lived together for years and are now best friends. Just make sure that whether they are ridden together then they wont try to start herding eachother.
Answers: Of course. All breeding farms run their mares together in a band, even when they are not surrounded by foal.
