Can you believe it? ?
Saturday, several of the members at the stables were there for a update. A young couple (just had a baby 9 days before) drove up and brought surrounded by their 2 horses and saddled one. They went off to an arena to ride an hour after that leaving the other horse tied up. The temputures that day were surrounded by the lower 50's. Everyone was leaving about 20 minutes after that and they still had not come back. I called the steady owner (I was the last to leave) who came down from his house and made them untie the horse and put him put money on in the paddock. He lectured them about disappearing a horse unattended. Guess what? We found out they had left the baby surrounded by the truck the whole time alone.
The horse actually belonged to the stable owner. He have loaned them the horse to see if they wanted to purchase him. In 3 months they still had not told him yes or no. This treatment cause him to withdraw the offer and he took the horse back.
Another babyish couple will be working with the horse for the next couple weeks. I think they will bear it. The first young couple is angry but who cares? They obviously don't or they would not give up your job a horse like that or their newborn in a truck for almost 1.5 hours surrounded by the cold. Another incident like that and the stable owner said he will call the authorities. He is considering describing them to move to another stable.
They are mad because of this and because they will not be allowed to ride with the stables surrounded by the Christmas parade. Their remaining horse is not bombproof, they didnt attend the meeting to find out what the plans are, the husband wanted to ride a motorcycle surrounded by the middle of the horses. These people are so irresponsible!
Oh, yeah, I'll believe almost anything anymore. The authorities should have be called that day when they left the newborn contained by the car for an hour and a half unattended!
Ugh, that makes me sick. Leaving a horse UNSUPERVISED in a steady. and what's worse, the baby! Sheesh!
Average Joe- While that might teach them patience, it is best not to move a horse tied up unsupervised for long periods of time.
Having a horse tied to learn patience is one thing- but it should be supervised and a busy barn is not the place- not the other boarders responsibility to monitor that the horse does not get in trouble. As far as the baby...to be precise crazy! I think that they are a very irresponsible couple and the sooner they are out of the barn the better. When something happens because of their irresponsibility (and it will- tender it time) , they are the first to sue. People like that never take responsibility ! Get them out!
That is not just irresponsible it is child endangerment. The police should be call or Child Protective Services. If it were my barn, they would be asked to leave.
As for the thought that most think more about that horse than the BABY it concerns me
A horse at least can survive the weather
weather it is tied or not but
the little one was in a locked vehicle for at least an hour an a partially
i'm sorry i can't believe you, for thinking more of the horse than the BABY...
yes i believe !
Answers: I agree, the act of the couple leaving the babe-in-arms in the car is irresponsible BUT leaving a horse tied even unattended is not connote, ALOT of trainers leave horses tied it teaches them patience. When I be in motion to trail camp I leave my horse tied to a picket line adjectives night while I sleep, I leave my geldings tied in the stalls at horse shows to drill him patience.
I agree that the couple behavior was irresponsible in regard to the little one. However in regard to leaving a horse tied. Clinton Anderson recommend it on his tv shows as a training technique, He says he leaves them tied up for hours to teach them patience.
It is something a horse desires to become accustom to.
We often take our horses camping and they hold to spend the night tethered to a high line. Many horse camp only have hitching post.
While I'm sure that wasn't the couples intent , it apparently isn't that big a agreement to a world renowned horse trainer.
wow that is so silly one thign leaving the horse tied up anther the baby! these peaple should be kiked off straight absent
Well, im a big fan of horses and going away that horse unattended was very wrong. I think those society are, sorry to say, but they are retarded. Now, when it comes to the baby being departed alone for 1.5 hours, I personally, wouldn't give them a second luck. I would call the police and have them arrested. If they do it once, no telling whether they will do it again or not.
