Helping my trainer...?
Soo, I just recently got a horse..(:
She's simply 4 and has been needing some training and due to money issues I've be using my trainer's saddle, saddlepad, bridle and martingale. I mean, she has a bunch of different ones because she teaches module, but I still feel kinda bad for using them--ya know?? Everyone says she really doesn't supervision, but I just want to show her I'm thankful?
What can I do? I was thinking..resembling cleaning saddles or something..? idk? i can't muckout stalls or anything because that's a job that's already taken...
At the smallest you can clean the tack you are using and make it look as good as possible. That will show her you respect her gear.
A special thank you card will also be guaranteed to thaw out her heart.
Cleaning and oil the tack after use would be a great sign of appreciation. After every ride, get a sponge, bucket of water, and oil cleaner. Personally, I similar to the Lexol and Leather New products. When you finish cleaning them, replace them neatly where they belong, taking care to figure-eight the bridle. Another conception would be to buy or make her a thank you card. I've received cards and notes from clients in times past, and it always makes my day to know what I do is appreciated.
You could get lesson horses ready for kids.
Ask her if she needs help. They typically need help with some sensitive of things
Make sure you clean the tack and keep it looking nice, that bearing you can show you have respect towards her stuff.
I'd write her a note saying how glad you are.
I'd read out cleaning the tack would be a great start, maybe clean the horses brushes, de-cobwebb the barn, do little things that you see getting ignored because she doesn't enjoy the time to get to them! I know my parents love when I clean the tack room, organize the nurture room, wash sport boots, wash blankets, re-organize the bandage cabinet etc...its the little things that incorporate up!
