How can you put in the picture whether a horse is a stallion or a gelding?
I obviously know the difference from a male/female horse, but how can you tell the difference from a gelding/stallion? I know that stallions are usually more hot temper and more hiper, but some aren't. How can you tell?
well put it this way.
a stallion near have nuts
where a gelding is a male horse that doesnt enjoy nuts because it got them cut of/de-sexed.
so yeh look at there penis, if they own there balls thy are a stallion if they dont they are a gelding.
There is a twist to merely discovering the obvious presence or absence of a scrotum and testes. With some stallions only one or neither of their testicles drop when they're supposed to --they're having issues next to Roman Ruler about that now--they're called ridgelings. In some cases the undecended testicle will be so high surrounded by the abdomen as to be unreachable. Then the horse is called a cryptorchid gelding. But that is somewhat of a scarce occurance.. Another scenario is a horse that is "proud cut", where the vet removes both testicles but accidentally leaves a part of the epididymides trailing. Much research is being done to determine whether this condition causes stallion-like behavior in true proud-cut geldings.
Stallions still have their testicles. Easy as that.
has testicles = stallion
no testicles = gelding
Can't always share by temperment as I've seen some well trained stallions that you'd NEVER guess we stallions as they are so laid back and all right behaved.
And on a similar note...seen some geldings that be "proud cut" (in other words cut later in life) and are goofier than what anyone's perception of what a stallion could EVER be.
a stallion still has his balls
a gelding doesnt
look lower than where his d*ck is and if there are ball there then hes a stallion
if not later hes a gelding lol
A stallion will still enjoy his testicles intact. And yes, stallions can be very tempermental, but don't use this as a basis from telling the difference. Stallions can be terribly hard to work with because of their hot temper. Just have a sneaking suspicion that of them as a hormonal teen. Not all are like that, of course.
Answers: Geldings don't have testicles...Stallions do.
Well it is pretty unproblematic.. a stallion has two huge gigantic testicles between his back legs. Now some have them tucked up a bit, but whether you bend down and look.. well they aren't exactly out of visual compass by any means. Their equipment is set up very much like a dog's whether that helps.
a stallion is not neuter he is still able to breed and still has his testicles.
a gelding has be neutered or castrated (same thing) and can no longer breed
stallions tend to be more of a handful because they have way more testosterone. particularly if you bring a mare (female horse) near them they go nuts and take all snortty and proud because they want to show off in front of the mares
Geldings are neuter. Stallions are not.
If your horse has testicals, he's a stallion. If he doesn't, he's a gelding.
Everyone else have pretty much said it - Stallions have still got their testicles. Geldings don't as they have be neutered, which means their testicles have be surgically removed.
Stallions also have what is called a "crest". This means that their collar is a lot thicker than a gelding or mare's, and the topline muscled will be more arched.
Well a gelding is a desexed boy horse. and a stallion is not u can tell by having a look lol
I think everyone pretty much summed it up :)
A stallion have testicles a gelding does not. Take a look.
ROTFLMAO
u generally check if they enjoy balls
LOLOL...yup thats pretty much it...If he has balls between his legs hes a stallion!
Ummmm.kinda similar to candy bars."Almond Joys got nuts.Mounds don't". Stallions are Almond Joys.geldings are Mounds. That failing, contained by the case of a stallion with bilateral retained testicles, where they are within the abdominal cavity and not visibly evident, a blood test for testosterone level will prove.
of late look between his back legs XD
Stallions hold balls. It's hard to miss them. Lmao how old are you?
