In scotland is it ileagle to save a shetland pony contained by ur house?
i live in the city so there is no farms i ride one a week at a grow which is ages away mum says if i lived closer to a plant i could have a shetland ponie but we dont want to move so is it ileagle to keep a shetland pony in a house IN SCOTLAND
This is a joke right?
I live contained by scotland, and I have a shetland pony...
but he has 5 acres of land..not a living room.
Stop posting silly questions! you're making us scots look like idiots! of course you can't enjoy a pony in your house.!! **hyperventilates** lmao
IT IS
i think, as your neighborhood is designated as residential not agricultural... ALSO have a pony in your house sounds fun but how fun it is when she pee's on you moms white rug or poops all over the place? what a bout a friend? you should never have a horse/ pony on it's own it would be resembling putting you in a desert island with a dog... yeah the company is nice but you would long for you own kind .. SO DO they... also they want space to run and play and just be a pony
MAYBE having a pony is not in the cards for you right in a minute but I'm sure once you are older you can get a nice horse for your self and hold in live at a stable
best of luck
also i don't recommended a pony as you will grow and be unable to ride it and hold to sell your new best friend
ALSO i do not think it is against the statute IF it is for the blind .. yes they now have seeing eye miniature horses
It's not illegal but its not a good idea. All horses and ponies have need of grass and open space to run. but confining them to the indoors is almost cruel
A horse no matter the size is still a horse.
A horse should be treated as such.
Then need to be cared for resembling a horse and need places to run and grass to eat not to mention socialization with other horses!
Ps. Horses can't be trained to poop contained by a litter box or wait at the door for you to let it out.
Who care if it's illegal? Just don't do it! If you leave a horse within your house, then you might as well move, because it will destroy everything. Not to mention it's approaching animal cruelty.
Come off it! With such an irresponsible attitude, you don't deserve a pet! Think about the desires of the animal, not the needs of yourself! A pony of any size needs the correct environment. It's not a blo**dy cat!
it used to be illegal to keep a shetland pony surrounded by your house, but since we gained our own parliament, we have been advise that it is not only legal, but advised to hang on to at least one shetland pony in your house, this is to offset the domestic heating costs that have been so prevalent not long.
The idea came around as we wanted to underpinning our consumer savings on the southern irish methods of actually keeping full size horses in their houses.
report your mum she can take away your shetland pony, but she can never take absent your FREEDOM!!
hope you found this helpful!!
I can't say with 100% certainty, but it looks similar to it would be forbidden as it would breach the requirements of the Protection of Animals Act 1911
Answers: No, but it's silly to the point of neglect.
A pony isn't like a cat or a dog. You can't just chuck it contained by the garden (or kitchen!) and hope for the best.
Edit: Ryan - as a Scot living in Ireland, your answer about had me weeing near laughter. Perhaps I should bring all of mine indoors - the gas company will be paying me.
are you nuts?
why would a horse want to live in a house
presently the garden maybe...
No but you shouldn't be owning a pony if you feel you can do that. Unless you have grass in your house?
In your garden mabye if its a wearing clothes size but don't keep it in the house.
My cousin runs the Scottish Equi Centre so me and her know what we are talking something like, DON'T.
That's fine. Go for it.
