Introducing 2 geldings?

Okay, so we recently acquired a rescued gelding. He is an Arab cross, 15.1 hh, 13 years old, and to some extent underweight. We have him in a stall that has one other stall beside it and open into a small paddock area. Anyway, he is locked in this stall because there is another resident within. The other horse is also a gelding, 18 years old, 15.3 hh Appendix QH. He is super dominant. Right now he has free run of the paddock and his own stall, but we occasionally lock him contained by his stall to let the other guy wander around a bit. How should we go nearly introducing them so that they can both be turned out in the paddock at once? I'm worried that they will hurt each other if we basically let them work it out. The appendix already took a chunk out of the Arab's side by lucky chance over the stall partition. Any warning? Serious answers only please.
I would linger until the other gelding is in full health then I would out them within an area together but still have a fence around them. You never want to hold them because they could well pull you off your feet or verbs your arm off.
wait till the Arab is back in apt condition and id put them in a paddock beside each other whether u can if not then deff side by side stalls

if you hold a riding place that is fenced in go surrounded by with the two and a whip and if get to heated separate them .

( reason for the riding place ) is because it is no ones teratorey so they should be less aggressive also if u hold mares and the Arab is dossile enough you can try introducing him to them .. at my barn we have 2 geldings with 6 mares
Answers:    I would make sure you dally until your Arab gelding is completely back to a healthy weight(he will have a better haphazard to defend himself). Take your time and introduce them in the paddock both while in mitt and see how they do.
If you have a way to cross fence your paddock that would be best so you could see how they stroke while both free but with a fence between them.
I know of some horses that can not be put out together at all because one is so dominant and the other so timid. I would use guardedness since your older gelding already took a chunk out of your Arab when in the stall(not a good sign).
Good luck, this will not be effortless.
