Long reining?… ENOUGH FOR YOU STUPID COMPUTER)?
how to do it properly? like thishttp://au.youtube.com/watch?v=pEXyCaiOYv... i have one of those rollers things,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Rolle... should i do it with a bridle? lately tell me how to do it. it will only just be walking though,because i cant ride near a broken arm.

I use a roller with a saddle blanket underneath, and put a bridle on but take of the reins, and attach lunge ropes respectively side, my bridle has clips on the end of the reins so they are easy to transport on and off when I want to lunge/long rein as opposed to riding..
It would be pretty hard to long rein beside a broken arm though I find I need 3 hands sometimes, LOL.

I know that training method as "Ground Driving" and the 'rollers things' are called surcingles. It teach a young horse in Training to be bit wise. Don't recommend you even attempt walking and ground driving beside a broken arm. Horses don't easily forget or forgive "stupid human mistakes". (Not calling YOU stupid. Just the mistakes we humans form with horses.)
Answers: well in actuality the girl in the video is doing it wrong..her lines should be passageway longer and its a lot like lunging she shouldn't have to run along side her horse similar to that. she should be more in the middle and driving the horse around herself then you can switch directions and gaits near little effort from the person long lining..but you involve to be proficient at it and experienced. If your horse has never ground driven or long lined before it can be a handful and sure not something to be attempted with a broken arm...Why dont you free lunge and or round pen your horse? This would be something you could do with a broken arm. The roller thingy is a surcingle and it has rings on it at different level for headsets and overcheck.most come with a crupper.
