Looking for answers on 'Clicker Training'?
I just watched a video of Leslie Pavlich training a filly using clicker training. It was truly amazing how far she get with the filly...but my question is this, what happens subsequent, the horse is so used to the treats and clicks...obviously you can't do that forever. Is there a period where on earth you phase out the treats and clicks? How does that work?
Just looking to learn more about clicker training!
Answers: i love clicker training! it's a great way to attach something different, something fun, to what you guys are doing...and helps to build a great bond!
yes, after a while (you'll just know when), you will replace a click/treat with a virtuous scratching and a "Good Boy/Girl", then back to click/treat. you slowly faze it out. but this is solely if you choose!!
best of luck, and enjoy this new approach to horse training!
