Not asking a ? I in recent times have so much fun study to mount nowadays?
I have a huge mare who i can barley mount in a sadldle because she is 17.1 I think i know every stone , tree stump and obstruction line within a mile. But today i studious how to teach her to toss me up on her back by a neck mount , in a minute mind you I ate a little dirt but i had a blast ..lol
I swear when I busted my aft and landed right under her nose. she looked striaght down at me similar to what the heck at you doing and just walked away. ...lol ( as whether )
but we did it three times today ... it was great
I feel acomplished !
sounds like fun! :) I have yet to ever submerge onto a horse... I'll have to try it sometime.
I haven't done it, but I have agreed a couple people along the way whose horses were trained for it...congratulations...it'll engender bareback riding out on the trails easier!

You know what's also fun?
A swing mount.
You stand on the left side of the horse, hold the pommell and do a sort of scissor action with your right leg as you swing up.
First few times I land flat on my backside!
Especially with a horse the size of my boy. 16.3. Quite an accomplishment I have to enunciate.
It was only for fun though =) My friend is a jockey lol couldn't stop laughing at me.
