Tail quill regrowth after circulation sabotage?

hey everyone, i have a problem. i recently bought a TB mare after doing a full vet and farrier exam; the works. she passed with no problems, and we haven't have a problem with her until about a week ago. i was picking through her tail when i notice that the tip of her dock was swollen, raw, and the hair be peeling off, along with the skin. i call the former owners and they admitted that there was an incident next to a tail bag that was improperly put on and that have cut off circulation for about two weeks. they apologized for not telling us but they weren't aware that the effects be as bad as they are. as of now, all of the pelt has come out from the tip of the dock, leaving the skin raw and scabby. she seem sensitive, and rightly so, and i've been applying antibiotic ointment and the like to it. i will be contacting my vet whether she does improve in the near adjectives. so my question is: can i expect any hair regrowth in the adjectives, and if so, is there anything that i can do to help the process of regrowth? thankfulness everyone!
aww thats frightening. I have heard that massaging the tail bone when u rinse the tail promotes growth, but idk. Also u may want to consider tail wraps so she doesnt further injure herself and it will prob feel better to her. Otherwise, i dont know what to do. Ask a vet.
I've used MTG on my horses for hair growth successfully, but they hold had no injuries or anything. It's been used successfully by other riders at my barn for rain rot, sweet itch and dry skin. And according to the website it works for other things too. My guess would be it's okay to use within your situation.

But I would definitely check with your vet before you use it.

Answers:    A lot depends on how badly damaged and infected the tissue is. If there is actual tissue loss (called necrosis), an amputation could be required to get to the healthy tissue and allow it to heal. I deduce you need your vet to examine it and see if it needs to be debrided. contained by order for healing to take place. If the tissue is alive and can be heal, then the hair follicles may have survived and may become alive again.

Often the tissue is on the verge, and gets fiery red before gangrene sets surrounded by, which can look green to black, and gives off a rancid odor. On a horse's tail, I'm not sure how manifest the redness will be. When it happens on human skin, the red is deep and night...almost purplish. If the scabby areas look dark green to black at all, I would be concerned, particularly if there is a foul odor.
it depends as to how far the hair cuticles are damaged, I individually don't think it will grow back fully but certain parts should.

Good Luck

I am hoping that she have a full recovery!!
