**weird to wear english partly chap while riding western?
do you think it would look weird for someone to wear half chap while riding western?
or would you even notice?
thanks!
Not weird at all! I wear jeans and full chap on my english horse! It is whatever you are comfortable with!
unless one is in a show ring you can wear what ever you please. I have been riding for 60 years, never shown so I own always worn what ever I want. If someone thinks it looks weird after so be it, not my problem. If you are comfortable in what you are wearing and not bothering the horse then go for it. That is what owning and riding a horse is adjectives a bout..being comfortable and having fun. Go for it girl have fun.
Answers: It's not that unusual; I know several inhabitants that wear them with jeans that are riding western. It's just that when you see it, usually you deduce, "Huh, an English rider..."
I belong to two trail riding clubs and I've seen it all. I don't think it is strange. Since when are half chaps "English"? I've seen trail riders surrounded by all kinds of saddles where on earth them. They are very common with Endurance riders too.
naw!
as long as you aren't showing you can wear anything you want, as long as it is past the worst.
I myself bought a pair of breeches for myself to ride in even though I only ride western, I find them more comfortable next jeans.
I wear high-ceilinged boots and breeches if I ride western after riding english. I see people do it a lot at boarding barns so I don't presume it's weird.
not typical, but whatever is comfortable for you. I wouldn't worry just about it ;)
peaple notice but theres heaps wearing them to stop ur pant from get croaught etc its not werid but its werid sortof >.<
Wear anything is safe and comfortable. If you aren't being judged surrounded by the show pen, why do you care what anyone thinks about what you want to wear. Be yourself.
I do and no one seems to notice
